To clean the Americana EPB399 Personal Drink Blender, follow these steps:
1. Unplug the blender from the electrical outlet before cleaning.
2. Disassemble the blender by removing the blending cup and blade assembly from the base.
3. Wash the blending cup, lid, and blade assembly in warm soapy water. Do not immerse the base (motor housing) in water.
4. Use caution when cleaning the blade assembly, as the blades are sharp.
5. Wipe the outer surface of the base with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
6. Make sure all parts are thoroughly dry before storing in a cool, dry place.
7. For an auto clean feature, pour a little warm dishwashing liquid into the cup with 1/4 cup water and press the power switch in a pulsing action. Remove the cup and rinse under running water.
Note: Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquids. Avoid using metal scouring pads, as they can break off and touch electrical parts, posing a risk of electrical shock.
