To set up the TP-Link AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router Archer C1200, follow these steps:
1. Connect the router to your modem: Use the included Ethernet cable to connect the WAN port on the router to the LAN port on your modem.
2. Power on the router: Connect the power adapter to the router and plug it into a power outlet. Press the power button to turn on the router.
3. Connect to the router: Use a computer or mobile device to connect to the router's Wi-Fi network. The default Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password can be found on the label on the back of the router.
4. Configure the router: Open a web browser and enter "tplinkwifi.net" or the default IP address (192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1) in the address bar. Log in with the default username and password (admin for both).
5. Follow the setup wizard: The web interface will guide you through the initial setup process. You can choose to set up a new password, configure your internet connection type (Dynamic IP, Static IP, PPPoE, etc.), and customize your wireless network settings.
6. Save and apply the settings: Once you have completed the setup wizard, review your settings and click on the "Save" or "Apply" button to save the changes.
7. Test the connection: After the settings are saved, the router will restart. Once it's back online, test your internet connection by opening a web page or performing a speed test.
