To clean the Calphalon BLCLTD ActiveSense Calphalon Blender, follow these steps:
1. Carefully release the blade from the Blending Jar or Blend-N-Go Cup by turning the Threaded Jar Bottom counterclockwise. You can use the Filler Cap as a tool to hold the jar bottom for better grip while unscrewing.
2. The Blending Jar, Jar Lid, Filler Cap, Blade Assembly, and Blend-N-Go Cup are dishwasher safe. Use the top rack of the dishwasher for the Jar Lid, Filler Cap, and blade assembly. Place the Sealing Ring into the bottom basket of the dishwasher.
3. Alternatively, you can wash the parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry.
4. Wipe the base of the blender with a soft, damp cloth to clean. Do not submerge the blender base in liquid.
5. Reassemble the blender for storage. Leave the Jar Lid open a gap so no odors are retained.
Note: Never put the Jar or any other parts in a microwave oven, and never store foods or drinks in the Jar.
Additionally, you can run the blender with soapy water for 20-30 seconds on Low or Medium Speed for cleaning without disassembly. Follow with a clean water rinse.
