Descaling is an important maintenance task for your Nespresso Vertuo Next Coffee Machine to ensure optimal performance and prolong its lifespan. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to descale your machine, supported by the user manual:
1. Prepare the machine: Remove any capsules and empty the capsule container. Make sure the water tank is filled with at least 0.6 liters of fresh water.
2. Enter descaling mode: Press and hold the button on the machine for 7 seconds until the lights start blinking rapidly. This indicates that the machine has entered descaling mode.
3. Prepare the descaling solution: Dissolve one Nespresso descaling kit sachet in 0.6 liters of water. Ensure the solution is thoroughly mixed.
4. Start the descaling process: Place a container with a minimum capacity of 1 liter under the coffee outlet. Press the button on the machine to start the descaling process. The machine will dispense the descaling solution in intervals, pausing between each dispensing cycle.
5. Rinse the machine: Empty the container and remove any residual water. Rinse the water tank thoroughly and fill it with fresh water.
6. Rinse cycle: Place the container back under the coffee outlet and press the button to start the rinse cycle. The machine will dispense water to rinse out any remaining descaling solution.
7. Complete the process: Once the rinse cycle is finished, the machine will exit descaling mode automatically. The lights will stop blinking, indicating that the descaling process is complete.
8. Clean the machine: Remove and clean the drip tray, capsule container, and any other removable parts according to the instructions in the user manual.
It is recommended to perform the descaling process every three months or after approximately 300 capsules have been brewed. For detailed instructions and illustrations, please refer to the Nespresso Vertuo Next Coffee Machine User Manual provided.
