To install and configure the Wi-Fi module for your CREALITY Ender 3 3D printer, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure your printer is switched off before starting the installation.
2. The wires of the Wi-Fi module should be arranged in a specific plug-in sequence. The most common wire colors are as follows:
- Red: 5-12 VDC
- Blue: GND
- White: TX -> RX
- Black: RX -> TX
3. Plug the connector of the Wi-Fi module into the TFT socket on the motherboard of your printer.
4. Connect the power supply to your printer.
5. After starting the printer's operating system, the LCD screen will display the IP address: 192.168.0.1
6. Open the Internet access menu on your computer or mobile device.
7. Select the 3D Printer network from the available networks.
8. Enter the password: 12345678
9. You will be automatically redirected to the configuration page. If the redirection does not happen automatically, enter the following address in your web browser: 192.168.0.1 and press ENTER.
10. Select the language of use and proceed with the configuration.
11. Choose the type of firmware installed on your printer. If your Ender printer has factory firmware, choose Repetier. If the firmware has been changed, select the type of software currently loaded on the board (usually Marlin).
12. Set the baud rate to the same value used when connecting via USB (usually 115200).
13. Set the name of the ESP (Wi-Fi module) arbitrarily. For example, you can name it "Ender" and press "NEXT".
14. There are two operating modes: AP mode and STA mode.
- AP mode creates its own wireless network. If you choose this mode, the printer will not be visible in your home Wi-Fi network. In this case, you will need to connect to the 3D Printer network and configure a new access password.
- STA mode allows you to connect the printer to your home wireless network. Press the magnifying glass icon, select your home wireless network from the list, enter the password, and click "Set".
15. After completing the configuration, restart the 3D printer by disconnecting it from the power source for about 30 seconds.
16. After restarting, the LCD screen will show that the connection establishment is in progress. The established connection will be confirmed with the IP address obtained from the local DHCP server.
17. Connect your computer to the home wireless network.
18. Enter the IP address displayed on the printer's LCD screen into your web browser to gain access to the printer control.
Please note that these instructions are based on the provided manual for the CREALITY Ender 3 3D printer. Make sure to follow the manual's instructions carefully to avoid any potential damage caused by improper modification.
