Cleaning the Oster BPCT02-BA0-000 Smoothie Blender is easy and straightforward. Here are the steps to clean the blender:
1. Unplug the blender from the power outlet before cleaning.
2. Do not immerse the blender base in water or any other liquid. Use a damp, soft sponge with mild detergent to clean the outside of the blender base.
3. All parts except for the blender base are dishwasher-safe. You can place the jar, sealing ring, lid, and blade in the dishwasher for cleaning. Alternatively, you can wash these parts in warm, soapy water. Rinse well and dry.
4. To clean the blender jar, pour 3 cups of warm water into the jar and add 1-2 drops of liquid dishwashing detergent.
5. Select the "Easy Clean" function on the blender or blend on the lowest speed for 10-15 seconds.
6. Empty the jar of soapy water into the sink and rinse the jar thoroughly with clean water.
7. After cleaning, reassemble the blade to the jar with the sealing ring and jar bottom.
8. Store the blender with the cover ajar to prevent any odors from developing.
It is especially important to disassemble and thoroughly clean the blender when processing milk, dairy products, meats, seafood, and eggs.
