To set up the VTech CS6529 Caller ID/Call Phone Answering System, follow these steps:
1. Connect the main base unit to a power outlet using the AC power adapter provided.
2. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the telephone jack on the main base unit and the other end to a wall jack.
3. Insert the rechargeable battery pack into the cordless handset and replace the battery compartment cover.
4. Place the cordless handset on the main base unit to charge the battery. Allow it to charge for at least 16 hours before using it for the first time.
5. Once the battery is fully charged, you can remove the cordless handset from the main base unit and use it.
