The Dicross SSD-220706B Mug Warmer is equipped with an automatic on/off function for convenience and energy efficiency. This function is triggered by cup placement on the warmer. When you place a flat-bottomed mug on the warming plate, the gravity sensor switch located under the plate detects the presence of the cup and activates the warming function. The warmer will automatically start heating your beverage to maintain its optimal temperature.
Conversely, when you remove the cup from the warming plate, the gravity sensor switch detects the absence of the cup and deactivates the warming function. This automatic on/off mechanism ensures that the warmer only operates when a cup is present, saving energy and preventing overheating.
It's important to note that the automatic on/off function is designed specifically for use with flat-bottomed mugs made of metal, glass, or ceramic. The warmer is not intended for water heating functions similar to a kettle.
