To register the VTech CS6709 Accessory Handset to the telephone base, please follow these steps:
1. Place the new (non-registered) handset in the telephone base.
2. After about 10 seconds, the handset will display "Registering...".
3. Wait for the registration process to complete. This usually takes about 90 seconds.
4. Once the registration is successful, the handset will display "Registered" and you will hear a beep.
Please note that you may need to charge the handset before registering it to the telephone base. Make sure to follow the battery installation and charging instructions provided in the user manual.
