To set up the Panasonic KX-TGE433B DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone System for the first time, please follow these steps:
1. Connect the main base unit: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the "LINE" jack on the back of the main base unit, and the other end into a telephone wall jack. Then, plug the AC adapter into the "DC IN 6V" jack on the back of the main base unit, and the other end into a power outlet.
2. Charge the cordless handsets: Place the cordless handsets on their charging cradles or bases. Make sure the handsets are properly aligned with the charging contacts. Allow the handsets to charge for at least 7 hours before initial use.
3. Set the date and time: Press the "MENU" button on any handset, then navigate to "Initial Settings" using the up/down arrow keys. Press "OK" to select. Select "Set Date & Time" and follow the prompts to set the correct date and time.
4. Register the handsets: On the main base unit, press and hold the "HANDSET LOCATOR" button for about 5 seconds until the "IN USE" indicator starts flashing. On each handset, press the "OK" button, then select "Register HS" and follow the prompts to complete the registration process.
5. Test the phone system: Once the handsets are registered, you can make a test call to ensure the phone system is working properly. Pick up a handset, press the "TALK" button, and dial a phone number. You should be able to hear a dial tone and have a conversation.
