To set up the Panasonic KX-TGF575S Link2Cell Bluetooth Cordless Phone System for the first time, please follow these steps:
1. Unpack all the components from the box, including the main base unit, cordless handset(s), AC adapter, telephone line cord, rechargeable batteries, and handset charger(s).
2. Connect the AC adapter to the base unit and plug it into a power outlet.
3. Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the base unit's LINE jack and the other end to a telephone wall jack.
4. Insert the rechargeable batteries into the cordless handset(s) and place them on the charger(s) for at least 7 hours to fully charge.
5. Once the batteries are charged, remove the cordless handset(s) from the charger(s).
6. On the base unit, press and hold the INTERCOM button for about 5 seconds until the IN USE indicator starts flashing.
7. On the cordless handset, press MENU, then select "Initial Settings" using the navigation buttons.
8. Select "Register HS" and press OK.
9. The cordless handset will display "Press and hold the locator on the base for about 4 seconds" - follow the instructions and press and hold the LOCATOR button on the base unit for about 4 seconds until the IN USE indicator on the base unit starts flashing.
10. The cordless handset will display "Press OK, then wait..." - press OK on the cordless handset and wait for the registration to complete. The handset will display "Registered" when the registration is successful.
11. Repeat steps 7-10 for each additional cordless handset you want to register to the base unit (up to a total of 5 handsets).
12. Once all the cordless handsets are registered, you can start using the phone system.
