Cleaning the Nesco FD-28JX Electric Food Dehydrator is a simple process. Here are the steps to clean the dehydrator:
1. Before cleaning, make sure to unplug the dehydrator and allow it to cool down.
2. Remove the trays and top cover from the dehydrator. These parts can be washed in warm soapy water or placed on the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning. Do not use any metal objects or scouring pads to clean the trays, as they can damage the surface.
3. To clean the blower, use a damp cloth or towel to remove any dried food particles. Make sure to unplug the blower before cleaning and avoid dripping any liquid into the electrical parts. Do not use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or sharp utensils.
4. Clean the base tray by wiping it with a damp cloth or towel. Do not immerse the base tray or any part of the dehydrator cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
