To connect your analog telephone to the Spectrum D3.1 eMTA DOCSIS 3.1 Advanced Voice Modem, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that your telephone service is enabled by your service provider.
2. Locate the Voice 1 or Voice 2 port on the rear panel of the modem.
3. Connect one end of an RJ-11 phone cable (not supplied) to the Voice 1 or Voice 2 port on the modem.
4. Connect the other end of the RJ-11 phone cable to the phone port of your analog telephone.
5. If voice service is provisioned through your service provider, your telephone should now be connected and ready to use.
Note: If voice service is not provisioned through your service provider, telephone service will not be available.
