To set up Spectrum WiFi Pods, follow these steps:
1. Download the My Spectrum app from Google Play or the Apple App Store.
2. Remove any other WiFi networks in your home to avoid interference.
3. Place the pods strategically to create a strong central core for better coverage and network performance.
4. The distance between pods should be approximately 20 to 32 ft. when going through walls and 32 to 50 ft. in open spaces.
5. Non-traditional shaped homes or homes with dense construction materials may require additional pods for adequate coverage.
6. Make sure the Spectrum Pod is placed centrally between the router and devices to ensure a strong WiFi signal throughout the house.
7. Avoid placing pods behind mirrors, household appliances, reinforced concrete, furniture, energy-efficient windows, metallic blinds/shades, foil-backed insulation, outdoors, or in high moisture or humidity areas like bathrooms.
8. Plug the pods into a power outlet using the provided power adapter.
9. Wait for the pod's status lights to indicate a successful internet connection (solid GREEN, then BLUE, then pulsating GREEN).
10. Once the pods are set up, you can manage your WiFi network and troubleshoot any issues using the My Spectrum app.
