To set up the Ornin D1005 Cordless Phone for the first time, please follow these steps:
1. Inserting the Batteries:
a. Open the battery compartment located at the bottom of the handset.
b. Insert 2 AA batteries, ensuring the correct orientation according to the polarity markings (+/-) inside the battery compartment.
c. Close the battery compartment securely.
2. Connecting to the Power Supply:
a. Locate the power adapter port on the base of the phone.
b. Plug the small end of the power adapter into the base and then connect the other end to an electrical outlet.
c. Place the handset on the base to charge the batteries, if necessary.
3. Connecting the Telephone Line:
a. Find the RJ11 telephone line port on the base.
b. Connect one end of the RJ11 telephone line to the base and the other end to a phone jack in your wall.
4. Making Calls:
a. Once the handset is charged and the base is connected to the phone line, lift the handset from the base.
b. Wait for the dial tone, and then dial the number you wish to call.
c. For hands-free operation, press the speakerphone button after dialing.
