To set up the answering machine on the Panasonic KX-TG6572 Digital Cordless Answering System, please follow the steps below:
1. Make sure the answering system is turned on. The indicator light on the base unit should be illuminated.
2. Press the Menu button on the base unit or handset.
3. Use the up or down arrow keys to navigate to "Answering Device" and press the Select button.
4. Use the up or down arrow keys to navigate to "Greeting" and press the Select button.
5. Select the greeting number you want to set or change (Greeting 1, Greeting 2, etc.).
6. Press the Select button to start recording the greeting.
7. After the tone, speak your desired greeting into the base unit or handset.
8. Press the Stop button to end the recording.
9. Press the Select button to save the greeting.
10. To activate the answering machine, navigate to "Answering Device" in the menu and select "Answer On."
11. To adjust the number of rings before the answering machine picks up a call, navigate to "Answering Device" in the menu and select "Ring Count." Choose the desired number of rings.
