To clean the trays and base of the NESCO FD-80A Square Shaped Food Dehydrator, you can follow these steps:
1. Remove the trays from the dehydrator and disassemble any additional accessories.
2. Soak the trays and accessories in warm water with a mild detergent for several minutes to loosen any food particles.
3. Use a soft-bristle brush to scrub away any stubborn food particles that may resist soaking.
4. Rinse the trays and accessories thoroughly with clean water.
5. If desired, you can place the trays and accessories on the top rack of your dishwasher for cleaning. However, make sure to remove them before the drying cycle begins.
6. For the base of the dehydrator, use a damp cloth or towel to wipe away any dried food residue. Avoid dripping water or other liquids into the electrical parts.
7. Do not use scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or sharp utensils, as they may damage the surface of the trays and base.
