To clean the trays and base of the NESCO FD-75A Food Dehydrator, you can follow these steps:
1. Soak the trays in warm water with a mild detergent for several minutes to loosen food particles.
2. Use a soft-bristle brush to scrub away any stubborn food particles.
3. Avoid using scouring pads, abrasive cleaners, or sharp utensils, as they can damage the surface of the trays.
4. If you prefer, you can also wash the trays on the top rack of your dishwasher, but make sure to remove them before the drying cycle.
5. For the base of the dehydrator, use a damp soft cloth or towel to remove any dried food residue. Avoid dripping water or other liquids into the electrical parts.
6. Do not immerse the power head unit in water or any other liquid.
7. Make sure the power head unit is unplugged before cleaning.
Note: It's important to regularly clean the trays and accessories after each use to prevent food residue buildup. Additionally, avoid using abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that may damage the surface of the dehydrator.
