Cleaning the Wilton 2104-9008 Electric Chocolate Fountain is a simple process. Here are the steps to clean the fountain:
1. Turn the fountain "Off" and unplug it from the wall outlet.
2. Allow the fountain to cool before cleaning, but do not allow any chocolate to harden in the bowl as this may damage the unit.
3. Remove and disassemble the xxxx auger and center tube pieces. Place them in the dishwasher on the top rack or wash them by hand in hot, soapy water.
4. Dispose of any unused chocolate or confectionery coating while it is still melted and fluid. Do not pour melted chocolate or confectionery coating down the drain, as it can clog pipes and damage plumbing. Always dispose of excess chocolate in the garbage.
5. Wipe the inside of the metal bowl with a damp cloth or sponge, repeating until all food residue is removed and the bowl is clean.
6. Wipe the exterior of the bottom unit with a damp cloth or sponge and wipe dry. Do not immerse the electrical unit in water.
7. Store the cleaned fountain in a cool, dry place until your next use.
