Cleaning the Salton VitaPro DH1454 Electric Food Dehydrator is important to maintain its performance and ensure food safety. Here are the steps to clean the dehydrator:
1. Press the switch to the OFF position and unplug the dehydrator from the wall outlet.
2. Wash the dehydrator trays, lid, herb tray, and fruit roll-up tray in warm soapy water. Rinse well and dry them thoroughly before storing.
3. Wipe the base of the dehydrator with a soft, slightly damp cloth or sponge. Do not allow water or any other liquid to get into the base.
4. Make sure all the trays and the lid are completely dry before placing them back on the base and storing the dehydrator.
5. It is recommended to clean the dehydrator after each use to prevent any residue or food particles from accumulating.
Note: Do not immerse the base in water or any other liquid. Only the trays, lid, herb tray, and fruit roll-up tray are washable.
