To register additional handsets to the base of the Motorola CD4011 Digital Cordless Telephone, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the base is connected to power and the telephone line.
2. Press and hold the Paging key on the base for about 5 seconds until the registration process starts. The registration LED on the base will start flashing.
3. On the additional handset, press the Menu/OK button to enter the main menu.
4. Scroll to the Settings option and press Menu/OK.
5. Scroll to the Handset option and press Menu/OK.
6. Scroll to the Register option and press Menu/OK.
7. The handset will search for the base and display the base ID. If multiple bases are within range, select the desired base ID.
8. Enter the base PIN (default is 0000) and press Menu/OK.
9. The handset will attempt to register with the base. If successful, the registration LED on the base will stop flashing and the handset will display "Handset registered."
Note: The registration process may take up to 1 minute. If registration fails, try again or refer to the user guide for troubleshooting steps.
