To set up the Crosley CR55 302 Wall Phone, follow these steps:
1. Connect the line cord: Take the line cord provided and connect one end to the back of the telephone and the other end to the wall jack.
2. Adjust the DIAL MODE switch: Locate the DIAL MODE switch at the back of the telephone. Slide the switch to the "TONE" position unless you have Dial-Pulse (Rotary) telephone service in your area. In that case, slide the switch to the "PULSE" position.
3. Adjust the RINGER CONTROL switch: The RINGER CONTROL switch, also located at the back of the telephone, allows you to turn the ringer ON or OFF. Slide the switch to the desired position. Note that even with the ringer in the OFF position, you can still make or receive calls, but you won't hear the incoming ring.
4. Adjust the RECEIVER VOLUME: The RECEIVER VOLUME CONTROL switch is located on the bottom of the telephone. Use this switch to adjust the volume of the receiver earphone. Slide the switch to either "LOW" or "HI" depending on your preference.
