To install the Rockford Fosgate R168X2 Full Range Coaxial Speaker, please follow these steps:
1. Before beginning the installation, read and understand the instructions provided in the manual.
2. Disconnect the negative lead from the car battery to prevent any damage or injury.
3. Plan the installation by determining where you want to mount the speakers. Ensure that the mounting location is large enough and deep enough to accommodate the speakers.
4. Refer to the specification chart in the manual to determine the proper diameter hole to cut for your specific speaker model. Cutting and mounting templates can be found on the Rockford Fosgate website.
5. Mark the locations for the mounting screws and drill the holes using a 1/8" drill bit.
6. Feed the speaker wires through the cutout and connect them to the speaker terminals. Make sure to observe proper polarity when connecting the wires. The positive terminal is indicated with a "+" symbol.
7. Fit the trim ring over the speaker and mount it into place using the provided screws. Tighten the screws until the speaker is snug, but be careful not to over-tighten and damage the speaker.
8. Repeat the above steps for the second speaker if installing a pair.
