To adjust the microphone gain on the Blue Yeti X microphone, follow these steps:
1. Locate the multi-function smart xxxx on the microphone.
2. Turn the xxxx to adjust the microphone gain.
3. The 11-segment LED meter around the xxxx will display the peak level of the microphone signal in real time with green, yellow, and red LEDs.
4. For the best sound quality, set the gain so that your loudest speech peaks at the first or second yellow light. Avoid the red light, but make sure all of the green lights are regularly filled.
5. If you need to mute or unmute the microphone signal, press the smart xxxx briefly.
6. To switch between microphone gain mode and other modes, press and hold the smart xxxx for one second.
