To set up the CMTECK CM005R Studio USB Microphone on your computer, please follow these steps:
1. Plug the microphone into a USB port on your computer using the provided USB cable.
2. For Windows users:
- Go to the Start Menu and select Control Panel. Double-click the Sound icon.
- Alternatively, right-click on the speaker icon in the taskbar and select Recording devices.
- In the Sound or Recording tab, select the CMTECK Microphone as the default audio input device.
- Adjust the recording volume by double-clicking on the microphone icon labeled CMTECK and changing the volume settings.
3. For Mac users:
- Make sure any audio applications are closed.
- Plug the microphone into a USB port on your computer.
- Click on the Apple icon in the upper left-hand corner of the screen and select System Preferences.
- Click on the Sound icon in the Hardware group.
- In the Sound dialog screen, select the Input tab.
- Choose the USB Audio Codec as the device for sound input.
- Adjust the input level by speaking into the microphone and monitoring the movements of the Input level meter.
4. Once the microphone is set up as the default audio input device, it should be ready to use with your recording or communication software.
