To set up your Logitech Harmony Pro Remote, follow these steps:
1. Position the Harmony Hub: Place the Harmony Hub in an unobstructed location where it can transmit IR signals to your AV equipment. Alternatively, you can place it behind closed cabinets using the IR mini blaster transmitters connected to the hub.
2. Charge your Remote: Plug in the charging station and place the remote in it. Keep the remote in the charging station until setup is complete. The charging station should be in the same room as your hub for optimal communication.
3. Install the Harmony App: Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play and install the Harmony App on your mobile device. Alternatively, you can set up your Harmony Pro using a PC/Mac by visiting setup.myharmony.com.
4. Connect the Hub to Wi-Fi: Using your mobile device's Bluetooth, connect the Harmony Hub to your wireless network. If you have an iPhone 4, iPad 1, iPad 2, or an Android device that does not support Bluetooth, connect the hub to your Wi-Fi network using a computer before proceeding with mobile setup.
5. Create a Harmony Account: Launch the Harmony App and follow the setup instructions to create a Harmony account.
6. Scan for Devices: Scan your Wi-Fi network for devices that can be controlled by Harmony, such as Roku, Sonos, Hue, and Smart TVs.
7. Add Home Entertainment Devices: Add additional devices not found during the Wi-Fi scan, such as your TV, cable box, AVR, game console, or Blu-ray player.
8. Add Home Control Devices: Harmony Pro supports various home control devices like lights, locks, thermostats, and home control platforms. Add these devices to your setup.
9. Create Activities: Follow the app's guidance to create Activities like watching TV, listening to music, or playing Xbox. These Activities allow you to control multiple devices with a single touch.
10. Software Update: Your remote's software may need to be updated. If prompted, keep your remote in the cradle during the update. The remaining update time will be displayed on the remote's screen.
