To pair the Cox Homelife Smart Plug with your Homelife system, follow these steps:
1. Plug the Smart Plug into an outlet.
2. The blue light above the power button on the front of the Smart Plug should start blinking, indicating it is ready to pair.
3. If the Smart Plug does not blink immediately or has timed out, you can reset it by removing it from the outlet, pressing and holding the power button while plugging it back in, and releasing the power button when the blue light starts blinking.
4. On your Touchscreen Control Panel, open the Settings app and enter your 4-digit master keypad code.
5. From the Settings menu, select Home Devices > Lighting > Add Lights.
6. The Locating Lighting Devices screen will appear. Press Next to start the pairing process.
7. Once the Touchscreen Control Panel finds the Smart Plug, the blue light on the plug will become solid.
8. When the "On/Off Light" icon appears, pairing is complete. Press Done. Then press Next to configure the device.
9. On the Configure Lighting Devices screen, tap the "On/Off Light Name" field to enter a desired name for the light fixture or appliance controlled by the Smart Plug.
10. The dimming feature is not available for this device, so leave the "Dimmable" field set to No.
11. Press Next to complete the configuration. Press the Touchscreen's home button to return to the home screen.
Congratulations! The Cox Homelife Smart Plug is now paired and ready to use. You can control it using the Lights app on your Touchscreen Control Panel, the Homelife mobile app, or the online Subscriber Portal. Please note that the power switch on the light fixture or small appliance plugged into the Smart Plug must remain in the ON position at all times to control it remotely.
