To install the Cox Cablecard Tuning Adapter, follow these steps:
1. Locate the RF cable coming from your wall and connect it to the IN port of the included splitter.
2. Connect one end of the tuning adapter power cord to the tuning adapter and plug it into a port (Cable IN) on your retail device.
3. Attach a POE filter to the second splitter OUT port and connect one end of the other RF cable included in the kit to the POE filter.
4. Connect the other end of that RF cable to the RF IN (Cable IN) port on the tuning adapter.
5. Ensure your retail device remains connected to your television using an RF, HDMI, component, or another cable.
6. Once powered on, the tuning adapter will begin an initialization process. Call the Cox automated activation line at 1-800-699-8151 to have the tuning adapter activated. Make sure the tuning adapter is powered on before calling Cox.
7. Once the tuning adapter is activated, connect the USB cable included in the kit to the tuning adapter and the retail device.
8. The retail device will recognize the tuning adapter and present a series of setup screens on your television or computer.
9. Verify activation by checking that the light on the front of the tuning adapter is no longer flashing and remains lit. If the light is not on, press the power button on the front of the tuning adapter.
10. Power on your retail device and ensure your TV is set to view the retail device.
