To install the Cox Motorola Tuning Adapter, follow these steps:
1. Locate the RF cable coming from your wall and connect it to the IN port of the included splitter.
2. Use one of the included RF cables to connect one OUT port of the splitter to the RF IN port (Cable IN) on your retail device.
3. Attach the included POE filter to the second OUT port of the splitter and connect one end of the other RF cable to the POE filter.
4. Connect the other end of that RF cable to the RF IN (Cable IN) port on the tuning adapter.
5. Connect the included USB cable to the USB port on the back of the tuning adapter. Connect the other end of the USB cable to the port on the back of the retail device.
Note: Your retail device should remain connected to your television by an RF, HDMI, component, or other cable.
6. Connect the tuning adapter power cord to the tuning adapter first, and then plug it into an electrical outlet.
Note: An on-screen message may display multiple times during this process, stating "Tuning adapter connected." Select "Continue" to proceed.
For further assistance with activation, call the Cox automated activation line at 1-800-699-8151. Once the activation process starts, the amber light on the front of the tuning adapter will flash. After activation is complete, the amber light will go solid.
To verify activation, another "Tuning adapter connected" message will be displayed. If you see a message stating "Acquiring Channel Information," wait until it clears and verify that video services are now working. If you encounter any difficulties, unplug the tuning adapter from the electrical outlet, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
