To connect your Cox TG2472 Internet Voice 3.0 Panoramic Wifi Gateway to the internet, follow these steps:
1. Plug in the Gateway: Connect the coax cable to an active cable outlet and the coax port on the Gateway. Then, connect the power cord to an electrical outlet and the power port on the Gateway. Ensure that the Gateway's power cord is not plugged into an electrical outlet connected to a dimmer. Wait a few minutes for the Gateway to boot up. The Online light will be solid when it is connected to the network.
2. Optional: If you have Cox phone service, connect your telephone cable to your phone and the TEL1 port on the back of the Gateway.
3. Connect to the network: Open the wifi settings on your smartphone, tablet, or computer. Connect to the network using the Network Name (SSID) and the Preshared Key (password) from the label on the bottom of the Gateway. Once connected, verify your internet connection by surfing the web.
If you encounter any issues, try rebooting the Gateway by unplugging the power cord from the wall, waiting for 10 seconds, and then plugging it back in. Make sure all connections are tight and properly plugged in. If the problem persists, refer to the troubleshooting section of the user manual or contact Cox customer support for further assistance.
