Attaching and detaching the attachments on the KitchenAid KSM150PSBX Artisan Series Stand Mixer is a simple process. Here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Ensure that the mixer is turned off and unplugged before attaching or detaching any attachments.
2. To attach an attachment, align the attachment's shaft with the attachment hub located on the front of the mixer head. The attachment hub has a silver-colored square power shaft.
3. Once aligned, gently push the attachment up towards the mixer head until it locks into place. You may need to rotate the attachment slightly to engage it fully.
4. To detach an attachment, make sure the mixer is turned off and unplugged. Hold the attachment firmly and press the attachment release button located on the side of the attachment hub.
5. While holding the attachment release button, gently pull the attachment down and away from the mixer head. The attachment should release easily.
