While the Cuisinart PSC-350 is primarily designed for cooking savory dishes, you can experiment with cooking certain desserts or baked goods that are suitable for slow cooking. However, it's essential to follow appropriate recipes and guidelines for best results.
To adjust the cooking time and temperature for desserts or baked goods, you can use the timer control buttons to set the desired cook time. The timer ranges from 00:00 to 24:00 hours. Press the + button to increase time in 30-minute increments or press the - button to decrease time in 30-minute increments. You can also press and hold + or - to scroll automatically in 30-minute steps. After setting the time, the timer display and On/Off indicator will still flash.
For the cooking mode, you can select the Low setting, which is the standard slow cooker temperature and is ideal for foods that cook longer. This setting is suitable for braises, roasts, stews, ribs, casseroles, shanks, chops, less tender cuts of meat, and soups. The Low setting maintains a temperature of 200˚F (93˚C).
It's important to note that the Cuisinart PSC-350 has a maximum cooking time of 24 hours. If your dessert or baked goods recipe requires a shorter cooking time, you can adjust the timer accordingly. Additionally, it's recommended to monitor the cooking process and check for doneness based on the specific recipe instructions.
Always refer to the recipe and cooking guidelines provided in the manual for more information on cooking times and temperatures for different types of dishes.
