To replace the battery in the MagLite K3A016 Flashlight, follow these steps:
1. Unscrew the tail cap of the flashlight by twisting it counterclockwise.
2. Remove the old battery from the battery compartment.
3. Insert a new AAA battery into the battery compartment, making sure it is facing the correct direction based on the polarity markings (+/-).
