To brown ingredients before slow cooking with the , follow these steps:
1. Press the BROWN/SAUTÉ button on the control panel. The default temperature of 350°F will flash.
2. Use the Temperature Directionals to select a different temperature if desired (between 150°F to 400°F).
3. Press the START/STOP button to begin preheating. The selected temperature will flash during the heat-up process.
4. Once the selected temperature is reached, you will hear two beeps. This indicates that the multicooker is ready for browning.
5. Add your ingredients to the cooking pot. It is recommended not to overcrowd the pot for best results.
6. After browning the ingredients, you can either press the START/STOP button to stop cooking or switch to the SLOW COOK function if browning is the first step in your recipe. There is no need to press the START/STOP button again, as the unit is already cooking.
Note: If you want to set a specific cooking time for browning, you can use the Time Directionals to do so. The countdown will start when the selected temperature is reached, and the unit will automatically shut off when the time is complete.
