Cleaning the FreshTECH FTWB-15-02 Electric Water Bath Canner is easy and straightforward. Here are the steps to clean the appliance after each use:
1. Turn off the appliance and unplug it from the power source. Allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
2. Remove any remaining water from the pot by using the spigot. Make sure the spigot is closed before cleaning.
3. Wash the lid, canning rack, and steaming & diffuser rack in warm soapy water or place them in the dishwasher. Rinse them well and dry them thoroughly.
4. Clean the pot by adding water and soap to it. Do not submerge the pot. Use a soft washcloth to clean the interior pot sidewalls and bottom. Open the spigot to let the soapy water drain into the sink. Rinse the inside of the pot with clean water, and again, let the water drain into the sink through the spigot. Repeat this process until all soap is removed from the pot.
5. Wipe the exterior surfaces of the pot and base with a slightly damp cloth.
6. Allow all the components to air dry completely before storing them.
It is important to note that the detachable base should not be submerged in water or placed in the dishwasher. Use a soft damp cloth to clean the detachable base.
