To assemble and use the Medela 101041362 Electric Breast Pump, please follow the steps below:
1. Wash your hands thoroughly before handling the pump and its parts.
2. Ensure that all the components are clean and dry before assembly.
3. Attach the breast shield connectors to the breast shields.
4. Connect the breast shield connectors to the breast pump tubing.
5. Insert the tubing into the tubing ports on the front of the pump.
6. Place the assembled breast shields on your breasts, ensuring a comfortable fit.
7. Press the power button on the pump to turn it on.
8. The pump will start in the stimulation phase, which mimics a baby's initial rapid sucking to stimulate milk flow. Adjust the suction level to your comfort.
9. After two minutes, the pump will automatically switch to the expression phase, which mimics a baby's slower, deeper sucking for efficient milk expression. Again, adjust the suction level as needed.
10. To increase suction during either phase, press the "+" button. To decrease suction, press the "-" button.
11. Use the LCD display with timer to monitor the length of your pumping session.
12. When you're finished pumping, press the power button to turn off the pump.
13. Disconnect the tubing from the breast shield connectors and remove the breast shields from your breasts.
14. Disassemble the pump and wash all parts that came into contact with breast milk according to the instructions in the manual.
15. Allow the parts to air dry or use a clean towel to dry them thoroughly.
