Setting up the CareSens GM505NA Blood Glucose Monitor is easy. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Insert Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the back of the monitor and insert two CR2032 lithium batteries. Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly, following the polarity markings.
2. Turn on the Monitor: Press and hold the power button until the monitor turns on. The display screen will light up, indicating that the monitor is ready for use.
3. Set the Date and Time: Use the arrow buttons to navigate through the menu options. Select the "Set Date/Time" option and follow the prompts to enter the current date and time. Press the OK button to confirm.
4. Insert a Test Strip: Open the test strip container and take out a test strip. Insert the test strip into the test strip port on the monitor, making sure the gold-colored contacts on the strip align with the contacts in the port. The monitor will automatically turn on and display a code number.
5. Code the Monitor: Match the code number on the test strip container with the code number displayed on the monitor. If they match, press the OK button to confirm. If they don't match, refer to the user manual for instructions on how to change the code.
