Installation of the WER BI-FL17-3 Water Leak Alarm Sensor is quick and easy. Here are the step-by-step instructions:
1. Twist off the sensor cover: Hold the sensor firmly and twist the cover counterclockwise to remove it.
2. Install the battery: Insert a 9V battery (not included) into the battery compartment. Make sure to align the positive (+) and negative (-) terminals correctly.
3. Twist the sensor cover back on: Once the battery is installed, twist the sensor cover clockwise until it is securely closed.
4. Place the sensor: Choose a suitable location for the sensor. It is recommended to place it in areas prone to water leaks, such as near water heaters, under sinks, or around appliances like washing machines and dishwashers.
5. Test the sensor: After installation, it is important to test the sensor to ensure proper functionality. Pour a small amount of water near the sensor's probe or place the sensor in a damp area. The sensor should detect the moisture and trigger the alarm.
Note: The sensor does not come with batteries included, so you will need to purchase a 9V battery separately for operation.
