To calibrate the Klein Tools ET120 Gas Leak Detector, follow these steps:
1. Ensure that you are in an area known to be free of combustible gases.
2. Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the detector. The first indicator light will blink 4 times, indicating that the zero-calibration process has started.
3. Wait for the 50-second zero-calibration process to complete. All indicator lights will blink for one second once calibration is finished.
4. The HIGH indicator light will illuminate and continue to flash, indicating that the detector is ready to take a measurement.
It is important to perform the initial calibration in an area without combustible gases to ensure accurate readings. Calibration in the presence of combustible gas can result in incorrect calibration and lower than actual readings, which may lead to undetected combustible gases.
Please refer to the instruction manual for more information and safety precautions regarding the calibration process.
