To change the battery in the Taylor 9847N Digital Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Using a coin, turn the battery cover counterclockwise to open.
2. Remove the old battery from the battery compartment.
3. Insert a new LR44 battery into the compartment, ensuring that the positive side (+) is facing up.
4. Replace the battery cover by turning it clockwise until it is securely closed.
