To set up outdoor temperature monitoring with the VAUNO EN8822C Wireless Hygrometer Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Take the outdoor sensor unit and place it in a suitable location outside your home. Make sure the location is within the specified temperature range (-40°F to 158°F or -40°C to 70°C) and is not exposed to direct sunlight or water.
2. Ensure that the outdoor sensor unit is securely mounted or placed in a stable position.
3. Take the main unit of the thermometer and choose a suitable location for it inside your home. Make sure it is within the wireless range of the outdoor sensor unit (up to 197ft/60m, depending on home construction materials).
4. Insert four AAA batteries into the main unit and two AAA batteries into the outdoor sensor unit. Make sure the batteries are inserted correctly and have sufficient charge.
5. Turn on both the main unit and the outdoor sensor unit by pressing the power buttons on each device.
6. The signal power indicator on the main unit will show when the devices are ready to join wirelessly.
7. If you have multiple sensors, use the channel selection buttons on the main unit to set the appropriate channel for the outdoor sensor unit.
8. The main unit will start displaying the temperature and humidity readings from the outdoor sensor unit. Make sure the outdoor temperature reading is displayed on the main unit.
9. Regularly check the main unit to ensure that it is receiving accurate and up-to-date outdoor temperature readings.
Note: If the outdoor temperature reading is not displaying on the main unit, check the batteries in both the main unit and the outdoor sensor unit. Ensure that the outdoor sensor unit is within range and properly paired with the main unit. If you continue to experience issues, refer to the troubleshooting section of the user manual or contact VAUNO's customer service for further assistance.
