To set the time and date on the AcuRite 754 Wireless Digital Thermometer, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the "SET" button on the display unit for 3 seconds to enter SET MODE. The currently selected preference will start blinking on the display.
2. Use the "▲" or "▼" buttons to adjust the currently selected (flashing) item. Press and release the buttons to make small adjustments, or press and hold to fast adjust.
3. To save your adjustments and move to the next preference, press and release the "SET" button again.
4. The preference set order is as follows:
- TIME ZONE: Select your time zone from the options (PST, MST, CST, EST, AST, HAST, AKST).
- DST (Daylight Saving Time): Set to ON if your area observes Daylight Saving Time, even if it is not currently in effect.
- CLOCK HOUR: Set the current hour.
- CLOCK MINUTE: Set the current minute.
- CALENDAR MONTH: Set the current month.
- CALENDAR DATE: Set the current date.
- CALENDAR YEAR: Set the current year.
- TEMPERATURE UNITS: Choose between Fahrenheit (ºF) or Celsius (ºC).
5. After setting the temperature units, the time and date will be displayed on the screen.
Note: If no buttons are pressed for 30 seconds, you will automatically exit SET MODE. You can enter setup mode at any time by pressing the "SET" button.
