To install the G-green EXPERT 203629 1/3HP Submersible Sump Pump, follow these step-by-step instructions:
1. Preparation:
- Ensure you have all the necessary tools and parts as shown in the package contents illustration.
- Read the user manual thoroughly to familiarize yourself with the pump's features and safety instructions.
2. Positioning the Pump:
- Place the pump in the lowest part of the sump basin, ensuring it stands upright and is level.
- Avoid placing the pump on an uneven surface or tilting it, as this can lead to malfunction or failure.
3. Connection:
- Attach the discharge pipe securely to the pump using the provided adapter. Make sure the connection is tight to prevent leaks.
- Direct the discharge pipe away from the foundation of your home.
4. Power Supply:
- Plug the pump into a grounded 110-120V electrical outlet. Avoid using extension cords to prevent power loss and potential hazards.
- Ensure the cord is positioned in a way that it doesn't interfere with the pump's operation or get submerged in water.
5. Operation:
- The pump has automatic and manual modes.
- In automatic mode, the pump will turn on when the water level rises and turn off once the water is pumped out. Ensure the float switch moves freely without any obstructions.
