To install the Wayne HALO75 Smart Submersible Sump Pump, follow these steps:
1. Ensure you have a properly grounded receptacle available with a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) for added safety.
2. Do not remove the ground prong from the plug or bypass the grounding wires.
3. Make sure the power supply has a fuse or circuit breaker rated to handle the current (amps) noted on the pump nameplate or cord tag.
4. Do not remove the power supply cord and strain relief or connect the conduit directly to the pump.
5. Always disconnect the pump from the power supply before installing, servicing, or making any adjustments.
6. Do not walk on the floor when water is present until all power is turned off. If the electric panel is in the basement, call an electrician.
7. Do not use the pump in mud, sand, cement, oil chemicals, grey water, or any other water that is not clear ground water.
8. Do not use sump pumps to handle raw sewage.
9. An independent water alarm or back-up pump should be used when the risk of property damage from high water levels exists.
