To mount the Fat Cat 727 Electronic Dartboard, follow these steps:
1. Choose a location: Find a suitable location with at least 10 feet of open floor space in front of the board.
2. Mark the position: Use a tape measure and mark a spot on the wall 68 inches (172.7 cm) from the floor. This mark will indicate the final position of the center of the dartboard (bullseye).
3. Locate studs: Use a stud finder to locate the studs in the wall. If possible, mount the dartboard on a stud for added stability.
4. Mounting without studs: If a stud is not available or not in the desired location, use the mounting hardware provided with the dartboard.
5. Measure and mark: Measure 7 inches (17.7 cm) directly up from the bullseye mark and place a mark on the wall. Use a level to ensure the two marks are vertical.
6. Mark left and right: From the top mark, measure out 2 3/4 inches (6.9 cm) to the left and right and place marks on the wall.
7. Drill pilot holes: Use a drill to create pilot holes at the two marks. These holes will be used for the mounting screws.
8. Install wall anchors: If using wall anchors, follow the instructions provided with the anchors. Plastic anchors, toggle bolts, or hollow wall anchors are common options.
9. Insert screws: Insert the screws into the anchors, leaving a 1/4-inch (6.5 mm) gap between the wall and the xxxx head.
10. Mount the dartboard: Hold the dartboard so that the two xxxx heads fit into the lower part of the keyholes on the back of the dartboard. Slide the dartboard down 1/2 inch to secure it in place.
11. Secure the screws: Tighten the screws to provide a secure mounting for the dartboard.
