To select the Eco 40-60 cycle on the Hotpoint Washing Machine, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the washing machine is plugged into a power source and the water tap is open.
2. Press the ON/OFF button to turn on the washing machine. The display will show "HOTPOINT" and the indicator light for the START/PAUSE button will flash slowly green.
3. Open the door of the washing machine and load your normally soiled cotton laundry.
4. Pull out the detergent dispenser drawer and pour the appropriate amount of washing detergent into compartment 1. If using liquid detergent, use the removable plastic partition A for proper dosage. If using powder detergent, place the partition into slot B.
5. Close the detergent dispenser drawer and close the door of the washing machine.
6. Use the WASH CYCLE selector xxxx to select the Eco 40-60 cycle. The cycle's name will appear on the display, along with the associated temperature and spin speed.
7. If desired, you can modify the temperature and spin speed by pressing the TEMPERATURE and SPIN buttons. The values will appear on the display, and you can adjust them using the "+" and "-" buttons.
8. Once you have selected the Eco 40-60 cycle and adjusted the temperature and spin speed if needed, press the START/PAUSE button to start the wash cycle. The indicator light for the START/PAUSE button will light up steady green, and the door will lock.
9. The washing machine will now begin the Eco 40-60 cycle, which is the most efficient programme in terms of energy and water consumption for washing normally soiled cotton laundry.
