To descale the Lavazza A MODO MIO Espresso Coffee Machine, follow these steps:
1. Verify that no capsules are present in the capsule holding tray and remove the water tank.
2. Fill the tank with 8.4 fl oz (250 ml) of the Lavazza DESCALING agent and 8.4 fl oz (250 ml) of water. Use a moist cloth to wipe off any spills.
3. Fit the tank back into place on the machine.
4. Place a suitable container under the dispenser.
5. Press the SWITCH-ON/STAND-BY/SUPPLY button to switch the machine on and wait until the button blinks alternately between a white light and an orange light.
6. Press the SWITCH-ON/STAND-BY/SUPPLY button and deliver one cupful of descaling solution (approximately 2.1 fl oz/60 ml). Wait for approximately 15-20 seconds to allow the descaling solution to work.
7. During breaks, empty the container used to collect the solution. The solution must be emptied into the washbasin together with cold water.
8. Repeat steps 6 and 7 until the water tank is completely empty.
Rinsing cycle:
9. Remove the tank and rinse it with fresh drinking water. Fill the tank to the MAX level with fresh drinking water and place it back onto the machine.
10. Place a suitable container under the spout.
11. Press the SWITCH-ON/STAND-BY/SUPPLY button, then supply the full content of the tank.
12. Empty the container and place it again under the dispenser.
13. Repeat step 11 until the water tank has been emptied five times.
14. After emptying the water tank for the fifth time, wipe the machine clean using a dampened soft cloth.
