To set up the answering system on the UNIDEN D1484 DECT 6.0 Handset, please follow these steps:
1. Make sure the phone is in standby mode.
2. Open the menu by pressing the Menu/select button.
3. Use the navigation buttons to scroll to "Answering Setup" and press Menu/select.
4. Select "Ans. On/Off" and press Menu/select to turn on the answering system.
5. To record a personal greeting, select "Record Greeting" and press Menu/select. Wait for the system to say "Record greeting" and then start recording your greeting. Press Menu/select to stop recording and listen to the playback. Press End to keep the greeting or press Menu/select to re-record it.
6. To switch between greetings or delete a greeting, select "Greeting Options" and press Menu/select. Follow the prompts to switch or delete the greeting.
7. You can also customize other answering system options such as security code, ring time, record time, message alert, and more by selecting the corresponding options in the "Answering Setup" menu.
