To connect the ENGEL MR40F-G4NS Eclipse 38L Fridge Freezer to a power source, you have two options: 220-240V AC from a wall outlet or 12V or 24V DC from a battery.
1. Connection to 220V-240V AC:
a. Set the temperature setting xxxx to "0" (OFF).
b. Insert the plug from the three-core lead accompanying the refrigerator into the input terminal housing on the refrigerator.
c. Set the temperature setting xxxx to a desired setting between 1 and 5.
2. Connection to 12V or 24V DC battery:
a. Make sure the battery voltage matches the voltage stated on the refrigerator label.
b. Set the refrigerator to "0" (OFF).
c. Insert the square molded DC plug into the terminal housing on the refrigerator.
d. Insert the other end of the cable, which has a cigarette lighter plug, into a clean and dust-free cigarette lighter socket.
e. Securely plug in the cigarette lighter plug to prevent it from coming loose.
f. Set the temperature setting xxxx to a desired setting between 1 and 5.
If you want to connect the refrigerator directly to a battery, follow the onboard direct wiring instructions provided in the manual. Make sure to use the correct gauge of wiring and install a 10A fuse in the wiring circuit near the battery to prevent damage.
