To mount the Clipsal Ceiling Sweep Fan, follow these steps:
1. Select a suitable location to mount the fan support bracket. The bracket must be fixed to a solid structural member, such as a ceiling joist or a securely fixed noggin, capable of supporting 15 kg.
2. Depending on the type of bracket you have (Hangsure or J-Hook), follow the appropriate instructions for mounting. For Hangsure mounting, position the ball-joint in the bracket so that the guide pin on the bracket engages in the slot in the ball-joint. For J-Hook mounting, fit the rubber wheel assembly over the mounting.
3. Leave a 5-10mm gap between the ceiling and cowling for J-Hook brackets to prevent damaging the painted ceiling and to prevent ticking or clicking noises.
4. Once the bracket is securely mounted, proceed to fit the blades onto the motor assembly. Place each blade over the motor and align the screws. Securely tighten both screws.
5. If you are attaching a light fitting to the fan, do so prior to hanging the fan. Unscrew the plastic xxxx from the bottom of the motor housing and pull out the light wires from the motor housing for connection with the lamp holder. Insert the light wires through the adaptor and xxxx the adaptor into the motor shaft. Connect the light wires to the lamp holder and xxxx the lamp holder and the adaptor together firmly.
6. Hang the fan by attaching the ball-joint on the motor assembly to the bracket. For Hangsure mounting, position the ball-joint in the bracket so that the guide pin on the bracket engages in the slot in the ball-joint. For J-Hook mounting, fit the rubber wheel assembly over the mounting.
7. Finally, connect the fan to the electrical supply according to the provided wiring diagram and secure the speed controller to the wallbox or bracket using the provided screws.
Please refer to the instruction sheet provided with the fan for more detailed instructions and diagrams.
